Weekend Recap

I had such a great weekend! It started out with a great girls night on Friday. My childhood friend who lives in Boston was in town visiting her parents and doing some wedding prep for her wedding in Sept. (She is one of my 5 best grade school friends - and we are all in her wedding - CAN'T WAIT) Her parents have an awesome pool and jacuzzi. We spent the night cooking a delish turkey burger dinner, drinking wine, and hanging out in the jacuzzi.

Saturday I had bootcamp - which was not easy since I was a lot tad bit hung over. The Mr. had to come pick me up and drive me home from Friday's festivities so that should give you an idea of how much wino i consumed. My bootcamp buddy has done the grueling workout many time with a hangover but this was my first and my last. Next time I just wont go - haha!!! After bootcamp i showered and laid back down and slept for about 3 hours in my robe - it was fantastic! Then i finally felt the need to be productive and went food shopping and cleaned up the house a bit.

Saturday night was a surprise 60th Birthday party for my Aunt and Uncle. As always I love spending time with family and seeing my cousins is always a blast. We got home at a reasonable time and I did some prep for Sunday when my family was coming over to hang out at our pool and have dinner.

Sunday was Church and then more cooking for my dinner party. My sis came over and we all went to the pool. My mom and dad didn't make it to the pool because they had to help my Gma with something. Well that something was pretty complicated because my mom made it to dinner by my dad didn't. My other sis and her boyfriend came to dinner and we had a yummy easy meal. As usual i cooked way too much. We had pulled pork sandwiches, cucumber salad, coleslaw, green salad, deviled eggs, and homemade potato chips - YUM!!! Dessert was fruit, rice crispie treats, and a hunka chunka Friendly's ice cream cake. Needless to say the choc late peanut butter goodness ice cream cake was the hit and we all devoured our plates! It was a very fun day and reminded me how much i love having people over. Sometimes I worry that it is too much work, but once I get into it - i love the planning and organizing and then of course the fun company is the best. I have two more dinner parties planned with some great girlfriends so I am looking forward to that.

Sorry no pics of the weekend. I did good with Vegas, but need to get better with the regular weekend events. I hope everyone is having a good Monday!
